We always love us some of that good ‘ol hurty-dirty bass music and there are few producers out there who have been able to deliver as consistently as G Jones. His latest Visions EP is, as you might expect, no exception as the supercharged synths and frenetic rhythms envelop the listener in a dystopian (but not unpleasant) dimension of sound. The atmosphere is carefully crafted, at times providing more of a soundscape than anything– the tracks feel unusually conceptual for an ‘EP’ and without a doubt it helps progress the musical narrative put forth by early pioneers in dubstep (remember that???).
