Earlier this month, JOYRYDE stopped in NYC during his Brave World Tour. Pairing up with Wax Motif, Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Godlands, and ALRT, Brooklyn was given its dose of bass and house music.
Hosted in the glorious venue that is Avant Gardner, JOYRYDE delivered exactly as people had hoped he would.
“New York City means something to me.” says the artist. “When I was 16, I left home and school in the UK and moved here to DJ at underground raves and any clubs where we could throw events.
My first day here, I watched the sunrise over the Brooklyn Bridge and immediately realized how big the world was outside of what I knew as a kid. I was permanently hooked.”
Ask about his show, the artist replied “To come back here is one thing, but to be here for a 3,000 people headline show makes me feel I’ve made a few good choices in life. I feel like a local and a guest everyone I come here. There is no place like it. I’ll always love New York.”
