Earlier this year, the Gorillaz announced the band would be releasing a new album in 2016 following a five year hiatus. The album will be the band’s fifth studio album. Aside from the fact that an album is indeed coming, not much else is known about the release, and fans have been scouring the internet for any hints at a tracklist, potential collaborations, and more.
Over the past few days, Jamie Hewlett of the Gorillaz has been posting never-before-seen images and artwork of the cartoon’s and members. In addition to the bands members, Hewlett also posted artwork of David Bowie done in the same style (see below). Could this mean a Gorillaz x David Bowie collab is on the way? We can only hope so.
