Martin Garrix’s departure from Spinnin’ Records has been a heated story to follow. Four months ago the EDM superstar announced his departure from Spinnin’ and its management team MusicAllStars. Now reports are suggesting that Garrix plans on taking ex-manager and Spinnin’ founder Eelko Van Kooten to court over the termination of their professional relationship in 2015.
Garrix believes that he was wrongly coaxed into surrendering the rights to his music and taken advantage of at his young of 16; a time when the #1 DJ in the world was just a budding producer full of the potential we’ve seen come to fruition today. He also claims Van Kooten gave him misleading and at times completely false information to bait him into signing with Spinnin’ Records and MusicAllStars.
Neither artist has made a formal statement regarding this potential lawsuit.
