The MVP of the MPC AraabMuzik was reported shot earlier this week, after an armed robbery when he refused to give up his material possessions. The AraabMuzik camp is saying he was “in the wrong place at the wrong time”.
DukeDaGod, the musician’s manager, posted an Instagram photo of a somber group surrounding AraabMUZIK, born Abraham Orellana, in a hospital bed.
“Everyone wish my brother @araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!! #Mvpofthempc #Soblessed,” he wrote.
Rapper Avatar Darko talked more about the shooting on Twitter. “My lil brodi too trill! They tried to rob him and he ain’t come up off his shit so they tried get him outta there!”
On Thursday evening a rep for the musician confirmed to Billboard that AraabMuzik is alive and well:
“Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well,” AraabMUZIK’s camp said in a statement. “He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.”
His latest tweet announced that he’ll be playing Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, which will take place June 18th through June 25th.
