We’ve got a little Aussie-on-Aussie action (a musical Ménage à quatre) this glorious Monday as Perth duo Slumberjack graces the web with their edit of What So Not‘s track Touched. The original track was a fine voyage but this edit takes some of the beautiful melodies of the original and just makes it 10x harder with some Mr. Carmack-esque drums and synths that sound like they were borrowed directly from Glitch Mob. While it sounds derivative by description, the final product quite amazingly is unmistakable as Slumberjack… and I love it. There’s no download available as of yet but maybe if we all ask politely on twitter, all parties involved will give the okay to make the track available for free! (We all know how the music industry works… “release for free, ???, profit!”)
