There are a lot of really incredible electronic labels on the scene these days but then there are some like Saturate Records who are just consistently blazing a trail to the next level with their releases. These guys are always challenging the status quo in music with their unique roster and absolutely breath-taking catalog that we’ve been championing since our earliest days of existence and surprise, surprise… they’ve done it again.

NorCal duo The OriGinALz have gone deep into purple territory with their all new Vanilla Cake Island EP and if it’s been a while since you tuned into some Joker, prepare to have your entire world flipped…

This EP is a 9/10 because it only has 9 tracks.

Every single track is in-****ing-credible. If I was hearing this for the first time in a public place, I would probably lose my shit. Vanilla Cake Island just moved The OriGinALz way up on my list… I’m struggling to even find the words to accurately describe how incredible this EP is because I’m just so absolutely blunted by this bass. It’s hard to tell what’s vibrating more– my screen or my eyeballs. This is a borderline psychedelic experience.

If you only have time for one, I might suggest Crystal Nights but there is no wrong answer including dope remixes from Shlump, Moniker, and Trapmasters who do fantastic work at transforming their tracks… this is going to be near the top of my “best of 2015” by year end NO QUESTION. You want to impress me as an electronic producer? THIS. A BILLION TIMES, THIS.
