SATURATE! Records Celebrates 5 Years with SATURATED! Vol. 5

There are two types of content creators in this world, regardless of medium: leaders and followers. Those who are willing to stay true to their creative-selves and those who vie for the affection of the crowd by doing what’s popular at the time. Both serve a purpose in the art world– we need leaders to drive innovation and followers to help disseminate and mature said innovations… but the difference in risk is fairly intuitive.

That’s why we are so proud to celebrate SATURATE! RECORDS‘ 5th birthday and the release of their SATURATED! Vol. 5 compilation (available as pay what you want, of course!). These guys have been putting out some of the freshest, most progressive underground bass music in the world and its clear they have no intention of slowing down. 2015 was one of their best years yet, releasing a handful of truly noteworthy albums with label founder BIOS seeing his own incredible release on Slit Jockey Records, a massive sign of respect and testament to the impact Saturate has had on the underground electronic music scene.

In a classic Saturate! Recs. move, they’ve released a pay what you want 28-track compilation from Saturate alumni like Moniker, The OriGinALz, Mad Zach, STARKEY for christ sake, Sayer, G Jones, Bleep Bloop, Subp Yao, holy shit everyone. EVERYONE… and it’s beyond amazing, its INSPIRING the way this label has managed to assemble such a diverse and unique group of fearless composers. Artists who want to explore the limitations of recorded music– leaders. The first 19 tracks are also available as limited edition 2×12″ vinyl for 18 Euro+ ($20 bucks before shipping). BUT WAIT, word on the street is that BIOS will be coming to the US SUMMER 2016 and may be bringing artists like Zeke Beats, Conrack, and Subp Yao with him… this is something we would never miss.
