The road to Madeon‘s sophomore album Good Faith has been magical, to say the least. From his stunning live performance at Lollapalooza to his riveting singles “All My Friends” and “Dream Dream Dream,” Madeon has brought his effortless synth-pop soundscapes to the forefront of dance music. Unbeknownst to fans, Madeon decided to rework some of his upcoming album, which has thus put a delay on its release. Today, however, he delivered his completed album and penned a touching letter to fans explaining the series of events and how it related to his own mental health.
That’s the intimate theme of this work to me: making sense of joy, making sense of darkness. Along the way, over more than three years, Good Faith has been the horizon, the reason I would fight over and over again to get healthy. I want this album, this tour and all that will come after it to paint for you the picture that’s been vividly in my mind all this time. – Madeon
Madeon is expected to begin the North American leg of his Good Faith Live Tour later this month. Read Madeon’s full letter in the tweet below and be on the lookout for “Be Fine” dropping Wednesday, October 16th.
