Childish Gambino‘s Cuba-set film Guava Island has been making waves on the internet for some time now. The film starring Donald Glover himself and Rihanna was directed by Hiro Murai, who also worked with Glover on viral “This Is America”. Confirming speculations, Guava Island will be premiering at Coachella on Saturday, a day after Gambino’s headlining performance. “On Guava Island, a local musician is determined to throw a festival for everyone to enjoy,” says the description, while the film is described as a “tropical thriller.” It will be interesting to see what Donald Glover, Rihanna, and their team worked have created. Guava Island will be available to stream on the Coachella YouTube live stream and Amazon Prime this weekend. Watch Amazon’s Guava Island teaser below.
