MAX is one of the best rising vocalists in modern pop and electronic music. His hit single “Lights Down Low” featuring fellow pop crooner gnash is already certified platinum and peaked at number 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, but more importantly, it’s the song he used to propose to his wife. Over the past two years, the 26 year old singer has performed on The Today Show, toured with Fall Out Boy, and collaborated with producers like 3LAU, Whethan, Sweater Beats, Matoma, and Two Friends.
On the heels of his drop-dead gorgeous duet “Team” with Noah Cryus, Hell’s Kitchen’s angel has just dropped off yet another anthemic pop ballad, this time paying homage to his hometown of New York City. “Still New York” is the perfect song to blast in your car with your windows rolled down because it has that infectious, charismatic quality that just makes your swoon. To top it off, Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ hops on a verse to show that not can he rap on anything, but also that MAX can truly collaborate with anyone. For the music video, MAX enlisted New York’s finest celebrities and some of our favorite producers like The Chainsmokers, Prince Fox, and Brasstracks’ Ivan Jackson to show off their city while singing along to “Still New York”. “Still New York” also marks the announcement of MAX’s upcoming album House Of Divine and world tour. Watch MAX’s awe-inspiring “Still New York” music video below.
“I’ll be donating all the money from this song to New York Charities. Being able to carry my home, my city, my roots with me everywhere I go is so important in my life, and I am so proud to spread the energy of New York around the world! I can’t wait to play it live every night on my “House Of Divine” world tour!” – MAX
