New Feature from Spotify Will DJ Your Tracks For You

It looks like parties won’t be needing to pay their local DJ in free beer anymore to provide tunes for their local get-togethers. Spotify is testing a new tool that will actually mix tracks together for you. Spotify’s new ‘Auto-DJ’ tool will determine the best time to bring the next track depending on beat, pitch and a few other attributes that Spotify decides on.

You will hear songs slowly fade out before bringing another one in. Just like any amateur DJ, the transitions won’t be perfect – but it’s a start. Spotify has rolled out the feature on one playlist for now. Head to your Spotify Desktop App, head to the Drum & Bass Fix Playlist and make sure that your ‘crossfade songs’ playback setting is OFF.
