Cashmere Cat at BUKU Music & Arts Project 2017
Brownies and Lemonade and Space Yacht have dominated electronic music promotion. Despite both being based in LA, each has found a way to not only coexist within the city but branch into cities across the country. This weekend, the duo is set to takeover New Orleans’ annual BUKU Music & Arts Project with VIP stages and after parties that are destined to be unforgettable.
Team B&L are hot off hosting a party at this year’s Holy Ship! and have already claimed stages at SnowGlobe, Lollapalooza, Hard Summer, and EDC Las Vegas. They’ve also expanded across the globe, cosponsoring OWSLA’s Japan pop-up in December, joined Alison Wonderland on her Australian Scarehouse Project tour, and hosted a night of Red Bull Sound Select’s 30 Days in LA showcase. They’ve featured some of the biggest names in electronic music like Ekali, k?d, Whethan, Manila Killa, and LUCA LUSH, collaborated with brands like Moving Castle, Mija’s FK A Genre, and Skrillex’s OWSLA and Nest HQ, and partied in cities like NYC, Austin, San Francisco, Chicago, Sydney, and Tokyo.
Taking over their very own VIP Stage at this year’s BUKU, B&L is set to host hot shots graves, Medasin, Melvv, Ducky, and Suicide Year. Brownies and Lemonade is also throwing a late night party with sets from Illenium and Snakehips, reappearances from graves and Medasin, and a special set from B&L All-Stars. If you follow B&L, you’ll know that “All-Stars” is code for epic, can’t-miss B2B sets and loads of secret guests.
Team B&L are also set to takeover a full day of this year’s Ultra and it’s sure to be jaw-dropping.
Space Yacht is known for turning Tuesdays in LA into the weekly party spot but they’ve also soared across the country with their diverse lineups and their smash show with the infamous Lil Jon. Hot off featuring an all-female lineup celebrating International Women’s Day, Space Yacht has consistently shown their impeccable lineup craftsmanship, curating stages at Life Is Beautiful, SXSW, and the first annual Skyline. They’ve teamed up with brands like Mad Decent, Buygore, 40oz Cult, and Circle Talent Agency and hit the road showcasing artists in NYC, Austin, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas, San Francisco, Most impressively, Space Yacht has taken the time to throw benefit shows donating to causes supporting gender equality and women’s rights, the California wildfire relief, and the Las Vegas and Puerto Rico tragedies, along with participating in the annual LA Gives Back special holiday benefit.
This weekend, Space Yacht will also be presenting their own VIP Stage with a B2B from EPROM and Mad Zach and supporting sets from DROELOE, BlackGummy, SQUINTO, and TVBOO. Like B&L, Space Yacht has an affinity for special guests and monumental B2Bs so their BUKU takeover is sure to be historic.
Space Yacht is also set to showcase at this year’s SXSW, Beyond Wonderland, and Miami Music Week later this month.
