Bless up and TYBG for this one though. Thank you also to the brilliant team at Pigs and Planes for always hitting us with the freshest news/vids/music. This will by far be the best 42 seconds you have spent all day. The internet has given us dank memes and abbreviated words, it makes us say and do and be into a bunch of weird shit that no one could have ever fathomed into existence, until someone with way too much time on their hands creates something that we can’t help but laugh at, love, understand, and share until it goes completely viral.
Until now, this was my favorite video edited ‘cover’ of a rap song. Watching a (former) professional journalist spit the words to the rap classic ‘Rapper’s Delight,’ has given me more minutes of amusement than I can count. And this isn’t the first time that someone has used the speeches of POTUS Barack Obama to cut and edit them to look like he is singing some of our favorite rap and pop songs.
This video comes from Twitter, shared from the NBA Detroit Pistons, and features Andre Drummond highlights. Lyrically appropriate, and whacky enough to grab viral attention with the President’s unofficial seal of approval.
But this video of the President singing ‘Jumpman’ includes all the things in the world that everyone loves, hates, loves to hate, and hates to love. Just push play on this nonsense and watch the confusion on your friends’ faces when they ask who is this rapping, and you tell them in these exact words: POTUS! POTUS! POTUS! POTUS! POTUS! to the tune of your favorite/least favorite track of 2015, depending if you are team Drizzy or nah.
Team 6God all the way, and this message has been RTT approved.
And now, thanks to Toronto’s own @Drake, a message from President @BarackObama … RT #NBAVote Andre Drummond https://t.co/5s0VHNI0YL
