Everybody – Backstreet Boys (Oski x Apashe x Lennon)

Oski x Apashe x Lennon massacre this remix of your favorite Backstreet Boys classic, ‘Everybody.’ Seth and Jay (This is the End cameo) agree that dancing with Thriller feels alongside Brian, Nick, A.J., Kevin, and Howie to this song, with endless joints and halos on your dome, is an idyllic heaven. I would have to agree, as would the artists that remixed the track for our listening pleasure.
The first thirty seconds feature a beat slower than the original, with the vocals of the first verse from the Backstreet Boys in its entirety. The second thirty seconds, madness ensues, as we see the flavor these three artists bring to this track. And while at some point thereafter, it calms down again as the second verse is sung, there is a lot of slowing down and speeding up the beat, in between the words and all of the gothic screams and sounds from the original song make their way into this very funky groove, which settles w the deep baselines. All of which make this an update on a vintage dance tune, containing and unleashing upon us some serious deep house and dark clubby feels.

Its creators kept so much of the original song, yet changed up so much at the same time. So that we get this old school feel with a new school kick, showcasing the brilliance of our artists at hand here, who so obviously made this ‘turnt up internet music’ for everyone out there in the webs. Let these posi vibes flow through you, while the sun is out and the air is hot, and not just in the tropics. Crack open a bottle of something refreshing, share Cokes with people that you love. Nothing like breaking a sweat on account of moving to some flaming ass tunes. 

This track is a throwback to older dance music, from the 80’s and 90’s, sadly becoming as retro as disco. As the hourglass turns, and the grains of sand keep falling, so go the days of our lives. Here and now, where our older selves relive our younger selves so age no longer matters, through the countless awesome remixes of the music we used to listen to when we were young, we are young. We are everything. We are, everybody, if you will. Everybody. Rock your body. You better rock your body now.

These throwbacks are more than welcome, especially this one. Can’t stop playing this remix. It is amazing. Oh, and it is a free download. Cop it.
