In case you missed it, Mad Decent released the first single off Elliphant‘s debut EP (set to release April 1st) and its certainly worth noticing. Revolusion is an edgy trap tune that’s really augmented by the early-MIA-reminiscent vocals of Elliphant. From Mad Decent:
Unapologetic and often outspoken, Elliphant has lived all over the world, including the streets of India as a teenager, and it’s exactly these unique life experiences that have led her to create such powerful material in the studio.
The lead track ‘Revolusion’ taken from her ‘Look Like You Love It’ EP, is a raw, in-your-face sonic assault that will leave you wanting more. Track was premiered today on Noisey.vice.com and can be streamed here.
‘Revolusion’ embodies Elliphant’s undeniable edge and desire to shake things up amongst an already complacent generation and is exactly what sets her apart from other female artists who dominate the charts.
Elliphant will be at Glasslands in Brooklyn, NY on 4/10 and at the The Echo in Los Angeles 4/18. I might just have to see this for myself.

The vocals really ruin this song.
