The captain of the Mothership is keeping the energy high as 2014 continues to become the year Skrillex took over the world…again. The OWSLA label head and jet setting producer has three exciting collaborations that seem to be reaching the wire, as he begins to play out these rarely heard selections out loud. Test running the new collaborative material on eager crowds of kandi-clad guinea pigs, fresh tunes featuring perennial prankster Dillon Francis and UK dubstep veteran Feed Me are just around the bend.
According to Dillon Francis, a very raw, very new collaboration between himself and his Grammy award winning tour mate will come as a remix of Elliphant’s “Only Getting Younger.” Elliphant, the young Mad Decent prospect, has already worked with Skrill in the studio on the tune’s original mix, and according to Francis, a fresh spin on the selection will come soon from the Mothership cadets.

Even more enticing however, might be the forthcoming collaboration between Skrillex and fellow bass music guru Feed Me. The mischievous razor-jawed mayhem-maker is known for making some of the most mind-warping sounds out there and has built a reputation for creating an unparalleled brand of hard-knocking dubstep. Feed Me has been on a bit of hiatus as of lately to finish up a studio bout that should prove to be packed full of sound-bending gems. This one could very well be the most exciting of them all though.
Today = finishing the @Skrillex collab. Forgot how good this was sounding, can’t wait to get this done. Vibes.

With more and more material coming to the surface, Sonny is clearly keeping his nose to the grindstone and staying hard at work. With a handful of new material likely to reach fan’s ears soon, plenty of buzz around his full length album Recess still making waves, along with one of the summer’s hottest North American tours, the OWSLA-naut is moving at hyperspeed and nothing is about to slow him down.
EDIT: Annnd last but not least:
