In anticipation of A Color Map of the Sun, Pretty Lights has uploaded the entire album to stream.  Derek Vincent Smith traveled all over the country working with various musicians to make this beautiful collage of music.  The album, like all of Pretty Lights’ music, will be available for free download on July 2nd; but for the first time Pretty Lights will be releasing hard copies of his music at the same time as the digital release.  You can pre order A Color Map of the Sun at his website now on either vinyl or cd.

Pretty Lights also released a 30 minute documentary on the making of A Color Map of the Sun. This documentary follows Derek across the country during the 2 years it took for him to make this incredible album. He worked with many different artists, sampling them to help create A Color Map of the Sun.  Check out the documentary below.
