This year’s Spring Awakening was one of the most exciting with a flurry of new music hitting ears from all across the world in Chicago. One of the highlights from the festival came from Zeds Dead‘s set which featured two new MASSIVE collaborations from Diplo and Elliphant, and NGHTMRE. The two tracks are both certified for the dancefloor but for different reasons and give us a tease of what is in store for us from the talented Toronto-duo.
Although you might think that the combination of Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE would yield one of the hardest hitting songs of the festival, that is not quite the case with their new untitled song. The track is at its core a future bass track driven by captivating vocals and cadenced synths that are tied together by the hard hitting drums that we’ve come to know and love from Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE.
In Zeds Dead’s collaboration with Diplo and Elliphant we get a track that is similar to what we’re used to from the duo. The song starts off with Elliphant taking the lead and giving us a solid vocal build up, followed by a massive release of bass that is typical of both Zeds Dead and Diplo’s styles. Although the song is still untitled, we know that when it is released you probably are going to want to load up on Icy-Hot patches to help you deal with excessive head-banging. Check out these new tunes and scenes from Spring Awakening below and keep your ears primed for these two new summer anthems!
Edit: We accidentally said the collab with Diplo featured Elle Von. We have changed it to the correct artist Elliphant.
