Thursday is poppin’ off with a brand new track from A.G. Cook who’s been championing the ultra-sugary sounds “post-ringtone” pop alongside his label-mates at P.C. Music. Hate it or love it, Drop FM featuring Hannah Diamond is absolutely dripping in sparkles and rainbows that help make “post-ringtone” unique but beneath the surface, a “harder” dance dynamic makes the track a fascinating contrast of styles that keeps you listening over and over.
Personally, as one who does like and appreciate the music coming from P.C. music, this track is right up there with Hey QT as one of my favorites (which also featured Hannah Diamond). The sound is just so different… it’s almost as if that inauthentic innocence is authentic corruption… why else would anyone try to appear so, so sweet?
Hannah Diamond is obviously the hardest mother****er in the game.
Peep the track below and if you’ll be at SXSW this year, you can catch the whole P.C. Music crew at the Empire Garage 8pm-2am on march 19.
