CamelPhat & Elderbrook – Cola (ZHU Remix) | Stream
Out now via Big Beat Records, ZHU has resurfaced with a magical remix of CamelPhat and Elderbrook‘s “Cola”. The remix follows his highly anticipated collaboration with Ekali and gives off this instinctual groove that is to die for. The dark and funky remix floats with an intricacy and elegance only accomplished by ZHU’s skilled hand. Be sure to catch ZHU this summer at Electric Forest.
BLAISE – Dua (Vincent Remix) | Free Download
Louis The Child and Moving Castle collaborator BLAISE made quite a statement with his Dua Lipa love song “Dua”. Giving the hip hop sensation a revamp, Vincent has put his trap stamp on “Dua”. Vincent flips the track into a dirty trap anthem with rolling snares and a booming bass that will have you banging. This is sure to be one of the most played festival trap tracks of the year.
Maroon 5 – Wait (Chromeo Remix) | Stream
Just weeks after releasing their “Juice” remix pack, Chromeo is back with a glorious official remix of Maroon 5‘s “Wait”. The self-titled funk lords bring a retro rhythm and groove to the Maroon 5 original that takes the track back to the dazzling days of disco. Sparkling synths bounce off the glittering percussion, making this one of Chromeo’s finest remixes to date. Catch Chromeo at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Firefly this summer.
Fatboy Slim – Right Here, Right Now (Carmada Remix) | Stream
Fatboy Slim has slowly been unleashing the remixes from his Fatboy Slim vs. Australia remix pack. So far, we’ve heard remixes from The Kite String Tangle, The Aston Shuffle, Set Mo and more. The latest remix comes from Carmada, the Australian joint project of L D R U and Yahtzel. The electrifying remix swirls with booming synths and a wild, exotic nature that is sure to catch your ears. Hopefully, this remix is just the first of Carmada’s comeback following last year’s NGHTMRE collaboration.
Sir Sly – &Run (K.Flay Remix) | Stream
To celebrate the Every Where Is Some Where tour, K.Flay and her special guests Sir Sly have swapped remixes. For her debut remix, the LA pop starlet, best known for her work on Louis The Child’s “It’s Strange”, has put her touch on Sir Sly’s “&Run”. K.Flay seamlessly inserts her fragrant electropop into the synth pop original with grinding bass guitars shimmering against the sultry vocals and shaking percussion. Catch K.Flay on tour this winter.
K.Flay – Giver (Sir Sly Remix) | Stream
As part of Sir Sly and K.Flay‘s remix swap, the LA trio have flipped her fiery single “Giver”. Bringing a darker edge to K.Flay’s original, Sir Sly fuel the track with ringing piano chords and easy percussion that give the track a beautiful eeriness. Catch Sir Sly on tour supporting K.Flay this winter.
DJ Snake – A Different Way (Ray Volpe Remix) | Free Download
Ray Volpe had a major 2017 with remixes of Marshmello, Boombox Cartel, GTA, Prince Fox, and more. His latest remix takes on DJ Snake and Lauv‘s “A Different Way”, cloaking the dance pop original in bold, old-school dubstep. The track starts off soft and delicate before exploding with booming synths that rattle over the rumbling percussion. Ray Volpe seriously levels up with this remix.
Herobust – Vertebreaker (Habstrakt Remix) | Stream
French house producer Habstrakt is known most notably for last year’s OWSLA collaboration with Skrillex “Chicken Soup”. Ringing in 2018 with a massive official remix, Habstrakt takes his place aside JSTJR, YULTRON, and 4B for Herobust‘s Vertebreaker remix EP. Habstrakt’s remix is incredibly moody, driven by a combination of bass and house that is easily enticing. Habstrakt absolutely kills this Herobust remix.
Post Malone – I Fall Apart (Young Bombs Remix) | Free Download
Young Bombs are some of the best remixers around. The Vancouver duo have garnered millions of streams across their remixes of Billie Eilish, Alessia Cara, Bastille, Gryffin, and more. For their latest remix, Young Bombs have put their signature spin on Post Malone‘s “I Fall Apart”. As opposed to most of the “I Fall Apart” remixes we’ve heard over the past year, Young Bombs take a chill banger approach, fueling the track with shimmering synths and beautiful dance pop vibes. Young Bombs have crafted one of the best “I Fall Apart” remixes yet.
Kanye West – Good Life (Justice Skolnik Remix) | Free Download
Justice Skolnik has easily become one of our favorite new artists. The remixer has put his soulful future pop touch on Lost Kings’ “Phone Down” and “Quit You”, as well as Matoma’s “False Alarm”. Kicking 2018 off with a fiery new remix, the San Francisco producer has flawlessly flipped Kanye’s “Good Life”. Groovy, shiny percussion rain over the vibrant synth stabs that bring an unexpected funk to the track. Justice Skolnik definitely impresses with this one.
Bohnes – My Friends (Milk N Cooks Remix) | Free Download
Chicago duo Milk N Cooks have racked up hundreds of thousands of plays across their remixes of Chance The Rapper and Lauv and collaborations with Lyon Heart and Brewski. Back with another stunning remix Bohnes‘ “My Friends”, the twin duo have spun the track into a fun dance pop chill banger filled with bright, bursting synths and breezy percussion. Milk N Cooks seriously knock this remix out of the park.
Aire Atlantica – Make You Mine [feat. Ameria] (metsä Remix) | Free Download
metsä is slowly but surely putting his mark on electronic music. The Seattle based Paper Crane affiliate first wooed us with his collaborative official remix of Astre’s “Shades” alongside Madnap and he’s back with a gooey new one. Putting his take on Aire Atlantica‘s “Make You Mine”, metsä washes the track in soft, ethereal electro pop, keeping remnants of the original and gently tweaking the track to make it truly his own. metsä truly outdoes himself with this one.
TELYKast & Lauren Vogel – Going Under (Villms & Medii Remix) | Stream
Out now via Lowly Palace may be known for hosting some of the year’s best originals but they also service many remixes for their label singles. One of their finest yet comes from Phoenix remixer Villms and melodic bass duo Medii, who have teamed up to take on TELYKast and Lauren Vogel’s sultry single “Going Under”. Vogel’s sultry vocals shine over the sharp snares and deep synths that take this remix to the next level. Villms and Medii are definitely two newcomers to watch for.
RL Grime – Core (Prismodified by Prismo) | Free Download
Austin knockout Prismo has been making his way onto our radar with his stunning originals and remixes of Skrillex, Vanic, and Bauuer. Adding another “Prismodified” remix to his collection, Prismo has taken on the heavy task of reinventing RL Grime‘s “Core”. The trap infested remix is filled with exhilarating sirens, blaring synths, and banging percussion that are make for the perfect recipe. Prismo seriously has cooked up another smash remix.
AWAY – Sleepwalker ft. London Thor (Tisoki Remix) | Free Download
Dubstep and bass producer Tisoki has certainly been impressing us with last year’s remixes of Bro Safari, GRiZ, and more. Bringing his signature sound into 2018, the UK producer has put his spin on AWAY‘s “Sleepwalker” and it is brilliant. Sultry strings and sharp snares shape around London Thor’s lush vocals, spinning the track into soft, melodic remix. Tisoki has certainly made our radar with this one.
San Holo x James Vincent McMorrow – The Future (TWO LANES Remix) | Free Download
Brother duo TWO LANES is making quite an impression. The debut remix of ZHU, Skrillex, and THEY.’s “Working For It” received over 250,000 plays in just one month, showing their striking influence on electronic music. Back with their sophomore remix ahead of their forthcoming single, due out this Friday, TWO LANES have brought a magical rendition of San Holo and James Vincent McMorrow’s “The Future”. TWO LANES’ remix sounds like no other, with electrifying synths bringing an inherently beautiful, banging nature to the track. TWO LANES are definitely due for an exciting 2018.
Maty Noyes – Say It To My Face (Evan Gartner Remix) | Stream
Evan Gartner is quickly becoming a regular in these weeklies. We fell in love with his remixes of Bebe Rexha’s “(Not) The One”, ROZES’ “Famous” and Andy Grammar’s “Smoke Clears” and his latest is no different. Spinning Maty Noyes’ “Say It To My Face” into a luxurious cross between future, house, and pop, Evan Gartner has flawlessly crafted a truly unforgettable remix. Evan Gartner might be one of the most talented and most underrated remixers to come to light.
Avril Lavigne – Complicated (Fly By Midnight Cover) | Stream
NYC retro pop duo Fly By Midnight have become masters of crafting lush covers. The duo have reinvented everything from top pop hits to throwback tunes by artists like Maroon 5, Drake, OneRepublic, Justin Bieber, and The Chainsmokers. Their latest in their The Boombox series is a brilliant rendition of Avril Lavigne’s 2002 favorite “Complicated”. The remix bursts with snappy percussion, bright piano stabs, and soulful vocals that give the track a beautiful and fun pop vibe. Catch Fly By Midnight this summer at Firefly Festival.
Finding Hope – Let Go (feat. Deverano) [Ngyn Remix] | Free Download
Vancouver newcomer Ngyn has certainly made an impression. He debuted in 2017 with remixes of Gryffin and Illenium, Lucian and Krewella, and has kicked it up a notch with his first release of the new year. Cloaking Finding Hope and Deverano‘s “Let Go” in a magical overload of vibrant synths and bursting percussion, Ngyn has shown off his impeccable abilities and craftsmanship. Ngyn is definitely one to watch for this year.
LondonBridge- Sound Of The Underground (TYPE3 Remix) | Free Download
We were thoroughly impressed with LondonBridge‘s debut Sound Of The Underground EP and its title track has just earned itself a remix pack. The most notable of the pack comes from Las Vegas house producer TYPE3. The grungy 90s house remix bangs with acidic synths and a retro groove that is sure to burn up any dance floor. TYPE3 certainly lived up to LondonBridge’s high expectations with this remix.
Thutmose – WuWu (Flapo Remix) | Free Download
Miami producer Flapo first caught our eye with his remix of STéLOUSE’s “Bones” back in October. Emerging into the new year with a shiny remix, Flapo has put his touch on Thutmose‘s “WuWu”. The remix takes on a dark, trappier taste than we’d expect from Flapo but its exceptionally done with hard-hitting snares spiraling around a wonky synth melody. Flapo certainly shows us a different side of him with his latest remix.
Lauv – I Like Me Better (RAMPANT Remix) | Free Download
Newcomers RAMPANT have just dropped off one of the finest “I Like Me Better” remixes we’ve heard yet. The Arizona duo have spun Lauv‘s hit into a soft and sensual downtempo pop remix driven by delicate piano stabs and shaking percussion that bring a lovely chill aspect to the track. RAMPANT are definitely ones to keep on your radar.
