The Chainsmokers Hilariously Respond to Being Called ‘the Nickelback of EDM’

Yesterday, Esquire published a slamming article titled “The Chainsmokers are the Nickelback of EDM“. The article went viral in no time, much in thanks to its hilarious writing with lines such as “the duo sounds like it was written by and for the programmers of a Pandora EDM channel”. Ouch.

Luckily, it doesn’t seem like The Chainsmokers are taking the article too serious. The duo posted a hilarious response to the article on their Instagram yesterday. In the video, Alex plays the piano while Drew sings the “Paris” chorus before hilariously mashing it up with Nickelback’s infamous “How You Remind Me” before both are overcome with laughter. Us too.
