Avicii has gone through rough stretches before having to cancel tour dates because of illness, but this is something different. In a heartfelt letter penned to fans, Avicii announced his retirement from touring today. No he isn’t canceling his current tour, but this tour will be his last for the foreseeable future. In the letter the world renowned DJ talks about how this has been an issue that has been weighing on him heavily recently. He mentions that while he loves music and is grateful for everything it has brought him, it hasn’t allowed him time “for the real person behind the artist.” You can head over to avicii.com to read the entire letter, but we at Run The Trap wish him the best in whatever his next endeavor might be.
