Earlier this week, Cashmere Cat made headlines with the announcement of his forthcoming sophomore album Princess Catgirl. Along with the album, Cashmere Cat shared his new animated partner in crime, Princess Catgirl, who will serve as the “face” of his music going forward.

Debuting his new feline superhero character, Cashmere Cat has delivered an intricately produced new single and gorgeous animated music video. “EMOTIONS” marks Cashmere Cat’s first release since his 2018 collaboration with Major Lazer and Tory Lanez “Miss You,” but hits in a completely different way.

Still carrying that classic effervescent pop sound Cashmere Cat is known for, “EMOTIONS” bubbles with a gooey mixture of future bass, pop, and R&B production and a flirty, sensual nature. Crisp snare rolls and twinkling percussion lay the groundwork for the sweeping synths and high-pitched vocals to create an airy, euphoric soundscape. Cashmere Cat’s new single is simply breathtaking.
