“Storm Area 51” Creator Wants to Turn Event into an EDM Festival

Matty Roberts, the creator of the viral “Storm Area 51” facebook event never would have imagined that his page – which started as a joke – has now garnered millions of RSVPs from people across the world. Since then, however, Roberts has plans of turning the event into something a bit different: “I want to make it like a festival of sorts,” Roberts told KERO-TV. “I want to have a bunch of different musical artists, everybody from the EDM world and then maybe some indie rock, maybe some smaller guys that are up and coming.” We’ll continue updating this story as it develops, but in the meantime leave us a comment below if you would attend an Area 51-themed music festival.
