After it was revealed Porter Robinson would be curating his own festival, it nearly broke the internet. The chance or even the thought that one of the most influential artists in electronic music would be doing things his way for one full night in Oakland, California left fans starstruck. The possibilities were endless with Second Sky Festival as fans anticipated a large showcase of Porter’s tastemaking abilities.
By dropping daily additions to the Second Sky lineup, Porter not only gave insight into who would be joining him, but why he hand-picked each artist. After countless days of speculation, it has been unveiled that Madeon, Cashmere Cat, G Jones, Nina Las Vegas, Chrome Sparks, Kero Kero Bonito, Anamanaguchi, and Wednesday Campanella will be making Second Sky Festival a night to remember. Second Sky Festival will also feature Porter Robinson’s only Worlds live set of the year, hinting that he has new music he’s ready to showcase in 2019. As concertgoers await the coming bloodbath for ticket sales, we can only salivate at the ideas that can come the day of The Second Sky Festival. July cannot come any sooner.
