Astralwerks, electronic music’s premiere label for more than 25 years, has signed burgeoning musician, DJ and producer ILLENIUM, and renowned Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso and household name Marshmello to recording agreements, it was announced today by Astralwerks General Manager Toby Andrews. The signings are the first under Astralwerks and Andrews’ leadership since he took the helm of the label in May, and are concurrent with numerous and key personnel hires.
Joining the label in key marketing roles are Luke Armitage, Nick Sung, Catherine Corkery, and Nicole Lee. Having spanned across countless genres and scenes, this team of all-stars can be recognized for various roles with artists such as Tiesto, Illenium, GTA, Rezz, Whethan, Rudimental, Cash Cash, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, and many more.
Jeremy Vuernick, Senior Vice President of A&R at Capitol Music Group, was brought on to head the A&R department of the label. Continuing to work with Ryan Murphy, the A&R team have brought on Natalie Dodge from Big Beat/Atlantic Records and Sergio Vega from William Morris Endeavor. Joe Mortimer takes on the role of Creative Director, and Jin Ju Lee takes on an administrative assistant role.
Of the new artist signings and personnel additions, Asst. GM Toby Andrews said,
