As the future barrels down upon us like a run away train, it’s only fitting that we would see more collaborations between human and machine. That’s exactly what trap god Baauer and CGI Instagram pop star Miquela have concocted with their new single/VIP “Hate Me”.
The original single had a poppier radio twist to it with light chords and colorful leads over intoxicating vocals from Miquela. This latest VIP is indeed quite the variation in production. The VIP is grasped with static and power. With industrial bass stabs full of angst and pain, “Hate Me” is really brought into a new level of interpretation that reflects its truer intent.
