When you reach a certain level of talent and fame, you’ll find artists expand their art on to multiple mediums. This is exactly what Jay Rock, Kendrick, Future, James Blake and Top Dawg Entertainment did with Kendrick’s new video from his song King’s Dead. Firstly, the song is incredible. The hard hitting drums and angry bass perfectly matches the group of rappers on this beat. While the quality of the song is no surprise to those familiar with TDE’s content, the music video itself deserves just as much praise. High quality shots of the rappers in the middle of a Wall Street flurry, shots of Kendrick in a palm tree, and shots of the group on top of LA rooftops all add to the chaotic scene the music video is building. To give credit where credit is due, the video was directed by TDE President Dave Free of the little homies & Jack Begert.
