All star producer Marshmello has worked with top notch pop and hip hop acts like Selena Gomez, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, and Migos, with whom he collaborated with to create the Netflix’s Bright: The Album single “Danger”. For his first single of 2018, Marshmello is taking things up a few notches by giving fans one final new piece from late rapper / singer Lil Peep. The forthcoming collaboration titled “Spotlight” is expected to drop this Friday, January 12th.

Following the death of the beloved young hip hop talent last November, shock and grief thundered across the music industry, hitting prominent artists like Peep’s ex-girlfriend Bella Thorne and fellow rappers Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, and RiFF RAFF.
I cant even believe this. We were just talking last week about working on a song together and now you’re gone. You will be missed, R.I.P. @Lilpeep ???? pic.twitter.com/GQRJe8Vck0

Marshmello, who seemed to take the news of Peep’s passing quite hard, didn’t initially plan to share the unreleased collaboration until Peep’s mother gave him her blessing. If that’s any indication that the dance pop prince has a hit on his hands, I don’t know what is. Prepare yourself for Marshmello’s upcoming single “Spotlight (ft. Lil Peep)” out this Friday.
I didn’t plan on releasing the song until peeps mom reached out and told me she wanted her sons music to come out…what am I supposed to do? https://t.co/wpJQLvSZvv
