The Backstreet Boys, yes the boy band from the 90’s, just signed a new record deal. Entertainment Weekly sat down to interview “the boys” who dished out some of their hopes and wants for the album. Unsurprisingly they are trying to cash in with some of the biggest producers in the game right now. On their wish list to work with are The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Zedd, Steve Aoki, Timbaland and others. Here’s what they had to say in the interview:
“We’re reaching out to people who we were always inspired by or who may have been fans and we didn’t even know,” AJ McLean shared. “We’ve all made friends with different people. Nick’s been talking to Steve Aoki, Howie talked to Zedd, who’s been a big, big fan [and] Diplo, we’ve also talked to. We’ve also done stuff with The Chainsmokers and those guys are amazing and out in Vegas with a residency as well, so who knows.”
The 90s kid inside of me is hopeful that this album will be good, but I’m going to remain skeptical until I’ve been able to hear some of the music they’re going to put out.
