A little behind on this one, but didn’t want to let something this epic go unnoticed.
Coming out soon on Flux Pavilion‘s label Circus Records, supported by the legendary producer himself, and including bars from rapper OnCue, this track is hot fire. So hot, some may have even been caught saying it it better than the original. Way more better than the original? Let’s not get gordo about it. Be that just idle chatter on the streets of Philadelphia, from where this Yung G Buck hails, there is no denying the power of this track, and ultimately the talent of an artist such as G Buck.
Vocals are the “Emotional” element on the gut wrenchingly amazing original, classic Flux Pavilion, melodic and filthy all at once. Makes me wanna stomp and cry it out under blue lights and with lasers flying about. It is the addition of buck wild G Buck’s production and the lyrical flow of OnCue that change up this track, flip the script. Get on this level, floating somewhere between the mean streets of Philadelphia to a warehouse party in the BK, and then onto the main stage at a major music festival.
This remix is that huge, but let us not measure you-know-whats or take this as a competition between original and remix. We should simply gracefully exit 2015 with the very public knowledge that G Buck is like Wu Tang Clan. In that he ain’t nothin to f*ck with, also in legend status (or soon-to-be), and lastly in the hopes that new music comes flowing from both these camps in the new year. For now, it is time to wake up. You’re the last ones napping (not in the good way) on G.
If you don’t know, now you do, and if you do then you already know. G Buck has been living in 2016 since 2014, and he is just waiting for everyone to join him there. He’ll soon be further ahead of us again, but take a trip with him on this G Buck flip of Flux that is straight filth for your mental, and it is mental. So go mental with this extra special take on a dope original.
Post script: The record spinning as this track outros to the needle crackling, a sound unmatched and one that tickles the inside of your ear like a sweet nothing whispered not in a bothersome way and makes your ears happy, is the grandest, most classic finale. Perfection.
