RL Grime Drops His Highly-Anticipated Annual Halloween Mix

Since 2012, October 30th feels more like December 25th. Last night  was the night before Halloween, and all through trap houses worldwide resounded the bass from all the RL Grime Halloween Mixes from years past. Just like kids awaiting the entrhrallment begot in hours of ripping open gifts and playing with new toys all day, runners of the trap have gathered on the interwebs, not so patiently awaiting the arrival of this year’s Halloween Mix.

Unrivaled in curating the dopest mixes period, every single time one is released under Henry Steinway’s trap god moniker it seems to be the one to outdo all its predecessors. With thoughts that no mix will ever top the current one, RL never ceases to amaze his fans in achieving the impossible, and mixing something even doper than that which we thought to be the best thing we had ever heard. Specifically with regard to this staple of mischief night’s daytime that is the anticipation and release of RL’s signature mixtape. Every year, he enlists the voice of his namesake, Goosebumps author RL Stine, for a creepy intro that matches the haunting noises of horror layered throughout an hour of v rare real AF filthy trap shit. Last year, Philadelphia was lucky enough to see him live on this day, a show that made up for the disappointment of an abrupt ending the previous time RL was in town, when the police cut the show early and pulled the plug on the sound as ‘Bitches Love Sosa’ went into its first drop. We thought nothing could ever make up for the disappointment felt that night. Then came midnight in the city of brotherly love with RL Grime on the decks spinning a set just for us.

This year, he graces New Orleans with this intimate moment only his true fans can understand, spending his favorite holiday with a lucky NOLA. Halloween has a lot of meaning for the southern city so it should be a rowdy show, and the holiday’s eve has taken on special meaning for all of RL Grime’s followers. And all the mixes released in honor of this holiday cannot compare to the magnitude of this release.
