Dutch/Indian producer Wiwek’s OWSLA EP, The Free and Rebellious, has finally arrived. Packed with features and collaborations alongside the likes of Skrillex, Yellow Claw, and more, the 5-track EP showcases Wiwek’s signature sound and newborn genre, “jungle terror.” The EP name was inspired by Wiwek’s Himalayas trip through which he found his desire to avoid trends and make his own path.
We took some time to chat with Wiwek about his new EP, his “jungle terror” sound, and more. Peep our conversation and listen to his EP below:
In a huge cave on a lost island with a festival stage bigger then EDC’s Las Vegas Mainstage.
With producer collaborations it’s the extra creative input. Other insights, faster solutions. With the vocalists its because they have the talent I don’t have. I don’t see myself rapping and singing over my own songs, that would probably suck.

I was kind of making music without nobody else really knowing about it. I called it “Jungle Terror” on SoundCloud ’cause I couldn’t fit it in a specific style of music, and somehow it got picked up and now its a sound. It evolved by word of mouth I think.
It’s a tough tropical vibe. Aggressive enough for the guys to get pumped up and sexy enough for the girls to shake their ass.
76% own productions. Released and unreleased. I also like to throw in some throwbacks, hip-hop and stuff.
I think the music part is 50% and the other 50% is visual part. We are working on that part for the future and you can already see it a lot in my stage visuals.
Dark chocolate with crunchy huge chocolate pieces and a slice of banana in the middle as surprise.
Crying ’cause I’m not DJing or producing.
Work hard and prepare for struggle. It doesn’t matter if you want to be world champion of rollerskating or the best bar DJ in town, you have to work hard if you want to achieve what you want.
Thank you for the support! <33
