In just a few days, Imagine Music Festival will be descending upon Atlanta, Georgia for its second year for what is sure to be an incredible couple of music-filled days. It boasts a lineup with enough variety that I promise you everyone will leave happy. Well done, Iris Presents.
We know how hard it can be to pick out what to see, so we tried our best to pick out a few of our favorite acts that you definitely shoud not skip out on!
Imagine Music Festival
Brillz
2016 will be the year of the TWONK. Mark my words. Brillz has been taking over the trap game lately. He’s much more than a DJ, he’s about to become a worldwide known brand with his growing TWONK brand. His hard-hitting trap set will leave your neck sore, and your body wanting more. His TWONK crew always makes sure to turn whatever stage he is playing at into THE place to be at.
Eliot Lipp
Eliot Lipp made a splash in the music world by releasing his unique, complex productions via The Pretty Lights Music Label and he hasn’t looked back since. He thrives on complicated productions – the kind that you can listen to five times and still find new, undiscovered nuances after each listen-through while still creating a soundscape that is danceable to.
12th Planet
In my experience – it’s ridiculous how criminally underrated 12th Planet is. When Skrillex was starting to blow up in the EDM world, him and 12th Planet played countless b2b sets together. 12th Planet might be the heaviest set of the weekend. His unique take on bass music is only rivaled by his want to have fun with the crowd. Expect to get sweaty at this one.
GRiZ
What else can be said about the saxophone toting, funk bringing GRiZ? His sets combine his unique productions with his live saxophone while sprinkling in some harder tunes at the perfect time that creats a set unlike any other. GRiZ can’t be stopped right now…consider this a warm-up set for his upcoming sold out headlining performance at Red Rocks.
These guys are ready to put on a clinic. What happens when you take one toronto born producer who has clearly mastered the midi controller and sound creation and combine it with a producer and drummer known because of his connection to high profile names such as Pendulum and Destroid? One hour of unique, hard hitting, innovative sound creation directly in front of you. The two will take turns showing the crowd their Midi-prowess as they naviage through ableton to create one cohesive set. Who do you think will win?
We hope to see some of you guys in Atlanta this weekend! Check out the entire schedule below, and start planning!
