We have a real treat today thanks to the good people over at NEST who have enabled Buku to release an absolutely fantastic 3-track EP 100% for free. We’re talking about some top tier bass music from a top tier producer. Buku has been slaying the festival scene as well as earning releases on hot labels like Main Course and Never Say Die and this EP reflects his maturity in the scene with thoughtful production and just amazing sample work. The Might Be EP was born from some of my more recent inspirations. These inspirations lied in the realm of darker, hypnotic styles of music, as well as experimentation in sound design and sampling. While still drawing influence from my previous work, I wanted to step outside my stylistic box. This lead me to creating these three tunes without any preemptive idea of how they were supposed to sound or function in which they may serve. Simply stated: this EP is comprised of music that I wanted to hear through raw inspiration, which I believe is an important role in being a creator.
