A few weeks ago, we heard rumors of Skrillex and Vic Mensa working together in the studio. We now what it is they were working on — “No Chill.” Vic Mensa premiered the track on stage last night at Echoplex in LA, calling it a world premiere for whoever “got their camera phone n shit.” While it is only a live rip, as opposed to a 320kbps MP3, you still get a good feel for what you should expect from the official audio (whenever it drops).
Vic Mensa stays true to his recent form, with aggressive delivery, creative lyrics and Kanye name drops. His flow blends seamlessly with the hard-hitting, Skrillex-produced beat, which features heavy bass, trapped out drum work and synths in the style of something Lex Luger or Johnny Juliano would make. Peep the live performance of “No Chill” below and check back to stay in the know about the official release.
