A$AP Rocky is putting on for New York, but most importantly himself. He’s so busy and always under wraps, that there were no need for second guesses when everyone said him and British rock singer Rod Stewart were teaming together to create a “panty-dropping” mixtape.
The Harlem-born rapper spoke with Vulture about his upcoming film Dope, a coming-of-age comedy set in the ’90s about a band of hip-hop kids trying to get out of L.A., his sophomore album At.Long.Last.A$AP–which had featured Rod Stewart in addition to M.I.A., Mos Def, and James Fauntleroy–and the “anticipated summer mixtape” (not real) that Rocky said would be a, “panty-dropper.”
THE ROD STEWART MIXTAPE WAS SAID AS A JOKE , AS FUNNY AND INTERESTING AS IT WOULD BE, UNFORTUNATELY, "BORN TO BE PRETTY" IS NOT REAL, LOL

However, what still seems to be true is the other mixtape he’s got in the works with Zoe and Lenny Kravitz and his new line of high-end luxury fur coats he’s working on. Boasting those multitasking skills, Rocky is maintaning his own category within the hip hop world and we’re still here for that.
