Montreal producers Thomas White and Dear Lola have been on our radar since we started Run The Trap over two years ago, and these guys continue to pave their own way with unique sound design that’d different than the majority of new music coming out in the scene right now. Thomas white’s bootleg of Lil Wayne and Drake’s Believe Me is a perfect example of taking things to a new level, and they’ve done just that with their unique take on Rae Sremmurd’s mega hit “No Type”. Taking the track to a new level of waviness with massive reverb and low end vocal pitching, mixed with break beat style elements.
They’re also starting a monthly event series called #SSEENN along with a production company called MOTO Made in Montreal. Their first show is with JAW JAM on November 22nd, and you can check the Fb event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/802545319810398/
On top of that, Dear Lola and Thomas White are putting out a collab EP through their imprint RAW Records titled (╯︵╰,) 『sad emoji』, featuring 2 collabs, and 2 originals by each of them+ remixes by Dave Luxe, Dead Horse Beats, Shake It Maschine & Mr. Pigman, and Principal Dean. Will be coming out in the 3rd week of December. These guys are keeping busy, so def keeps tabs on them via their social media channels below.
