Over the course of the past few weeks, EDM megastars Knife Party have (not so secretly) been releasing glimpses of their upcoming album Abandon Ship. The most recent of these “leaks” is the epic and emotional “Begin Again,” which features classic vocals via Rob Swire and a banging beat that’s almost reminiscent of the duo’s Pendulum days.
What’s probably the most exciting part of this newest sneak peek into Knife Party’s newest album (which has taken over a year since their last release), is the fact that the track isn’t a total face-melting banger. The song shows the two haven’t forgotten about their musicianship and passion for making complex and intense solos on top of well-constructed chorus lines and bridges.
Don’t get me wrong, Knife Party without a doubt (re)made a name for themselves with some of the most disgusting drops at the peak of dubstep and popular EDM as a whole, but there’s nothing wrong with making a track that makes an audience want to grab hands and make out.
Abandon Ship is due for release on October 27th, 2014.
