I’ve been following Logic since his first mixtape in 2010, “Young, Broke, and Infamous”, so it’s more than surreal that the dude is just over a month away from releasing his debut studio album via Def Jam Records. Last week, Logic let the #RattPack now he will title his album “Under Pressure” and it will be released on October 21. He also revealed the album artwork which you can peep above. Days later, he released the self-produced title track from the album, serving as it’s first official single — check it out below.
Logic has been keeping fans plenty entertained in the meantime with releases like “Driving Ms. Daisy” with Childish Gambino and playing shows on the #WhileYouWait tour. The album will feature purely Logic verses with expected production from No I.D. and Hit-Boy and is “100 percent story” detailing the Maryland natives young life and “what is was like”. The goal of Under Pressure [album] is for his fan base to immediately know who he is and understand the message in his music.
“As for the album titled Under Pressure is the title track on the album, I produced and wrote it while I was on tour with Kid Cudi, I had named the song under pressure on the road, but it wasn’t until I came home that I realized how important the song was, it was the first song that not only began the album process but showed me the direction I was going,” he said. “The song ‘Under Pressure’ has two parts, the first half is me being under pressure as Logic, while the second half is me being under Pressure as Bobby, so essentially the entire album is about the duality of man. Or in this case one man growing up in terrible conditions and over coming.”
