What So Not has absolutely dominated the scene this year with Touched, Jaguar and Tell Me making an appearance in just about every high-profile set. Despite their phenomenal success the two have released relatively little music, presumably due to the duo’s separate grueling touring schedules with Flume maintaining his own burgeoning career as Emoh holds down the front for WSN in the states (and tours under his own name in Australia). However, it has been revealed in a recent interview with InTheMix that the two have indeed been making more music and that
We’ve written a lot of songs now, that’s the reason we haven’t put anything out…we’re looking at possibly bigger things that we can do with it than what we first thought… We had three rooms running [in New York], we had session vocalists and rappers coming in, and just hammering out a bunch of stuff that we’ve been working on for quite some time but hadn’t had any time together in the studio… It’s by far the best work that we have done to date – and it’s heading in a direction we wanted to head in for a long time, and I think we’ve finally done it.”
We already knew that the two were working with America’s homeboy Dillon Francis (aka Dillkimbe Moombahtumbo aka Dillary Huff) but the duo also casually confirmed that they have multiple collaborations with Skrillex as well as potential other collabs with mothership brothers DJ Snake and Milo & Otis.
We’re looking forward to it! We’ll have any previews we can get our hands on up ASAP so hang tight.
