Yes, read that again. The time is upon us to actually bring in the dancing lobsters. Twerking lobsters.
It is no secret to anyone with a cell phone that things for Amanda Bynes have been a little…chaotic lately. Since Nickelodeon’s golden age ended a number of years ago and her retirement from acting, things have taken an interesting, entertaining, and gossip-rich swing for former child star Amanda Bynes. After the Amanda Show ended, there was some b-movie where Channing Tatum sticks a tampon in his nose, and then almost out of nowhere Amanda Bynes slipped out of the limelight. As of lately, Amanda Bynes has grabbed the spotlight once more with outlandish twitter feuds with other celebrities, incessant bantering about plastic surgeries, facial dermals, and plenty of other frivolously hilarious shit. And just when it looked like this train wreck of a comeback couldn’t get any better, it absolutely did.
News reached the wire this week via TMZ that Waka Flocka Flame, the Atlanta based rap superstar, is now moving into the producing game and launching Amanda Bynes rap career with her debut studio album. Similar news recently surfaced that Paris Hilton signed on to Young Money, Lil Wayne’s juggernaut rap imprint, to release an EDM album, but Amanda Bynes is stealing the thunder with this one. Here’s the simply reason why. Everyone knows Paris Hilton’s EDM release is going to make their ears bleed, but this upcoming Amanda Bynes studio effort might actually yield some entertaining material. Waka Flocka has confirmed that pens are already to the pads, and songs are starting to be written. He even confirmed he will be a major collaborator on several of the tracks on the album as well.
Waka has had his hands full lately, having announced his third solo album Flockaveli 2 will be released in October of this year, along with confirmed collaborations with various main stage maestros from the dance music world (check out the article here), and now rearing Amanda Bynes comeback and debut into the rap game. According to certain sources, Waka has claimed that Amanda’s album, rumored to be titled Shots, is generally about,”keeping her head up from the haters”.
With Miley Cyrus making her daddy proud, twerking on stage with Juicy J and Paris Hilton desperately clawing to stay relevant, I must say… I might actually be most excited about the big moves Amanda Bynes is making. Teaming up with Brick Squad Monopoly’s head honcho and getting to work on a comeback rap album might be the biggest move made all year. I can’t wait to see Keenan, Kel, and the whole Nick gang getting down to this. In conclusion though, Waka simply had this to say,”I think shes going to kill the game”. Call me crazy but I might even agree a little. I think this album might actually be “all that”.
