The Australian based duo What So Not aka (Flume and Emoh), have been killing it release after release, and how could they not with the strong production stylings of Flume as the backbone to their tracks? This time around they’ve done a collaboration EP release with labels OWLSA and Sweat it Out, to bring ‘The Quack EP” to the masses. The approach on this release is unique, first releasing The Quack EP (club dubs) and now recently dropping the What So Not – The Quack EP (Vocal Mixes).
First up is “Every time You See Me.” Featuring the much hyped Action Bronson and begun when he got in the studio with the boys when he was down under. It’s too rude for radio, and I love the unique synth work and stylings WSN brings to the table on this track. The second track, “Like This Like That”, is a future club ode to baile funk, it’s Crookers from 2008, but made now, for the future. And last but definitely not least, “High You Are” , some sing along house for people that don’t sing, and it bangs like all the rest.
