The German based duo Donkong has been hitting the scene hard as of late, coming through as almost the poster children for a new and evolving sound called ‘Molly Grit’; a sound that’s a melting pot of genres, displaying a combination of Trap, Moombahton, Tropical, Juke and Bass all mixed together for high energy sound. Donkong has garnered support from the likes of Salva, Brillz, Etc! Etc!, Krafty Kuts, SPL, Calvertron and many more; recently dropping the opening track “Turn it up” from the Mad Decent supported “WTF is Molly Grit?” EP, and releasing the BIG two track “JAWZ” EP via Play Me records (both of which we’ve added on as a bonus below).

This time around they’re bringing that same high energy sound and playful mentality to remix ‘TNGHT – Acrylics‘. Taking the track in a new direction, adding their molly grit style flavor to the somewhat minimal original by TNGHT. Although the track utilizes some comical cow sample, and well, lots of cowbell, the production is top notch and guaranteed to get the crowd hyped up.
