PREMIERE: Kwon Drops Debut Single "Forever"

Our latest RTT premiere comes from a brand new artist — Kwon. The DMV-based artist began producing in 2012 after spending his early musical years playing the piano and violin, inspired by his father who played bass and drums for a well-known band in Korea. When Kwon heard his first electronic track, a song by Pretty Lights, he was hooked. Through friends with mutual interests, Kwon started a blog, which led to throwing his own parties, which then got him into producing himself with the help of his close friends, among them Stephen, Imad Royal, and more.

Kwon’s debut track is titled “Forever,” sampling Drake’s hook on “Forever” w/ Eminem & Lil Wayne. The track kicks off with pacing strings before the pitched sample enters alongside steady drum work, piano riffs, layered synths. The track builds alongside the hook before Kwon unleashes his exulting synth chords and hard-hitting drums on the drop. Stream and download Kwon’s “Forever” below.
