Earlier this summer, rising artist k?d dropped “Show Me,” a sultry, xylophone-infused tune with crooner Rahn Harper that could be heard from bedrooms across the globe. Today, Chicago-bred producer Madnap is here with his take on the track.
Madnap, who is also the founder of Paper Crane Collective, grew up in the suburbs of Chicago before making them move down south to Tampa, Florida for college. After spending this past summer linking n’ building in LA, Madnap will be studying ‘Sound Art & Design’ abroad in London for the semester.
His take on “Show Me” is equally as infectious as the original — kicking the tempo up a bit and infusing upbeat drum patterns and soaring synths throughout the track. One spin of this track and you’ll be feeling as bliss as ever. Stream and download Madnap’s take on k?d & Rahn Harper’s “Show Me” below.
I’ve been a huge fan of k?d for a while so doing this remix for him and Rahn was a huge honor for me. Very excited to share it with everyone! I think this remix does a great job of showing off my classic style in a new way! –Madnap
