Diplo has been in the game for quite some time now, and back in 2004 he released his breakout album Florida that started it all. Now ten years later he’s repackaging up the album and releasing it as F10RIDA, via Ninja Tune’s sub imprint Big Dada. Rolling Stone broke the story today and shelled out the details on the new reissue, which will include five unreleased tracks in addition to the album, and will come packaged with Diplo’s Epistemology Suite EP from 2003 on Black Friday, November 28. Diplo just uploaded two tracks on the forthcoming F10RIDA reissue, one of which “As I Lay Dying” never made the cut on the original release.
“I made Florida between a small apartment in Philadelphia and my mother’s house in Florida,” he said in a statement from Rolling Stone.
“I was working late nights and taking a bus through the city every night, smoking weed, putting on headphones and just making things I never heard before and could just imagine. Making this record created an entirely new world for me.”
It’s amazing to hear how Diplo’s sound has evolved over the years, especially with this album, which comes on the chill side of things. Coming with wide spaced and euphoric production work, much different than the trap bangers Dippy is known for in this day and age. I’m personally a huge fan of this album, and it’s amazing how up-to-date some of the styles he’s using in his production can be found in the emerging trends we’re hearing today.
Stream two tracks from the forthcoming Diplo – Florida Reissue, and keep an eye for more info on the release and tracks trickle out before the drop on November 28th.

I still listen to "Big Lost" to this day. So sick.
