If you have not listened to any of ODESZA’S new album, then now is your chance to take in the whole thing. You will not be disappointed. The album, which has been in the making for two years now, is not just a collection of songs that they have created and slapped together on a CD but rather a cohesive puzzle. Each song fitting a different piece, needed to complete the entire set. Be prepared to take 50 minutes out of your day to fully appreciate the whole thing
You will fall in love with the vocals from ‘All We Need‘ right before you need to take a deep breath and truly appreciate ‘Kusanagi‘ and its gorgeous, organic sounding composition. The album ends with ‘For Us’ an almost 6 minute microcosm of the entire album and is the perfect book end to the release.
The album sounds like Sigur Ros , Flume ,m83 all got together to create some sort of living, breathing organism together. I fully expect this album propel Odesza onto a lot of peoples’ radars who may not have heard their sound yet
