Cashmere Cat Previews New Collaboration With Ariana Grande At MoMA PS1

 

Cashmere Cat has been on absolute fire lately. After dropping his “Wedding Bells” EP earlier this year as well as his collaboration with Benny Blanco and Ryn Weaver to create the hit “Octahate” which garnered over a million plays in under a month.

We heard rumors that Cashmere had spent some time with Ariana Grande, the vocal power house who seems to be creeping in on the EDM scene, having just released the first single off her upcoming album, “Break Free”, a collaboration with Zedd.

Cashy put an end to the speculation by finally previewing the track, called “Be My Baby”, at his set at MoMA PS1. This track is destined for instant success. With some definite R&B influence, Grande’s smooth and powerful vocals mesh perfectly with Cashmere’s melodies and soft touch approach. I love that you can really hear both of their influences in the song, a true collaboration.
